BIOGRAPHY

"Andreas Hermanski created the concert with nimble fingers, quick tongue action and a consistently beautiful tone - an impressive performance in view of the uninterrupted cascades and extreme pitches. He flattered the audience with his solo cadenzas." This is what the WZ wrote about the clarinettist after the German premiere of Rolf Martinsson's clarinet concerto "Concert Fantastique" in May 2018 when he played with the orchestra of the HfMT Cologne Wuppertal site. This clarinet concerto was composed for the world's most successful clarinettist Martin Fröst. Hermanski is one of only three performers who have performed this work."

Andreas Hermanski has already made a name for himself as a soloist at a young age. Already at the age of 17 he was allowed to play the clarinet concerto by Ignaz Pleyel with the orchestra of the city of Soest. From 2011-2014 Hermanski was solo clarinettist of the chamber orchestra Ensemble Acordes, with whom he was able to perform the Mozart Clarinet Concerto several times. In 2019 Hermanski was "Artist in Residence" with the Chamber Orchestra Lüdenscheid where he performed the Clarinet Concerto several times as soloist under his own direction.

He acquired musical impulses as well as chamber music skills and insights into new music mainly during master classes in Montepulciano. Here Hermanski has given world premieres of works by the students of Prof. Schöllhorn on several occasions. Master classes with renowned chamber music ensembles such as the Minguet Quartet and the Casals Quartet have enabled Hermanski to develop his chamber music skills. Participation in numerous international competitions and festivals has been rewarded with a number of prizes.

Andreas Hermanski is also a sought-after teacher at various music schools in North Rhine-Westphalia.

His international concert activities as a soloist and chamber musician have taken him to Italy, France and the USA, including concerts at New York University and Rutgers University in New Jersey.

Andreas Hermanski studied instrumental pedagogy with Wilfried Roth-Schmidt at the Cologne University of Music and Dance and also completed his artistic studies with Nicolai Pfeffer. He completed both study profiles in 2017 and 2018 with distinction. In 2020 Hermanski completed his artistic master's degree with highest distinction under Nicolai Pfeffer at the HfMT Cologne

Radio recordings and recordings for the WDR round off his work as a performer. Andreas Hermanski is also a highly respected performance artist for the clarinet company Buffet Crampon Paris whose instruments he plays himself.
